Eagle Wind Manor

Situated on the crest of Botha’s Hill, on the edge of the Valley of 1000 Hills, Eagle Wind Manor is uniquely positioned for the convenience of being close to Hillcrest, with all its shops, restaurants and other amenities, and the restfulness of being in the countryside. Whether your aim is business or pleasure, honeymoon or family holiday, you will experience a warm welcome and a relaxed, country house atmosphere, along with luxury and efficient personal service.

Eagle Wind Manor is only 30 min from Durban or Pietermaritzburg, with easy access to the M13 and N3 highways. Being over 800m above sea level, the area escapes the humidity of the coast in summer and is known for the freshest breath of air in South Africa.

The main house offers a large, comfy lounge with seating arranged in such a way that it facilitates private conversation as well as accommodating larger groups – perfect for discreet business meetings, armchair seminars or just quiet relaxation. The lounge has a beautiful fireplace for cold winter nights, and is equipped with a big screen TV. Books and board games are available.

A sumptuous breakfast buffet and/or full English breakfast is served in the dining room, or you may choose to enjoy your meal on the patio overlooking the garden.

Take time to wander around our beautiful, substantial, treed garden, with its abundance of bird-life. For the more energetic, you can dive into our sparkling 12-metre long pool, great for swimming laps – or simply relax on a pool lounger on the pool patio.

With five up-market double bedrooms, we can accommodate 10 guests, with the executive suite large enough to accommodate a family and superb en suite bathrooms.

All rooms are equipped with a TV, with a bouquet of selected DSTV channels, including M-Net, Movie Magic 1 and 2, M-Net Series, the SuperSport channels, Discovery and CNN. Tea and coffee making facilities include a coffee machine for freshly-made filter coffee and a selection of fine quality teas and other hot beverages.

Eagle Wind Manor offers a conference venue at the guest house, with large double doors opening out onto a landscaped garden. The venue accommodates up to 25 people but special arrangements can be made for larger groups. The venue is ideal for brainstorming sessions, launches, conferences, training and team building. We also cater for staff Christmas lunches, staff meetings, baby showers and family functions.

The conference venue offers the following facilities:

  • AV projector and 2 screens
  • Digital overhead projector
  • PA sound system
  • Surround sound
  • IPod, CD and DVD player
  • DSTV
  • Flip Charts
  • White Boards
  • Dimmable down lights
  • Air conditioning and heating
  • Wireless Internet access
  • Printing facility

The idyllic setting of this gracious old home set in a spacious garden is perfect for your special wedding day which will be customised to suit your specific needs. Accommodation is also available, with our complimentary Bridal suite and special rates for four other luxurious guest rooms.
