Location
We're situated on an exclusive country estate 10-15 mins drive from Somerset West and under 45 mins from Cape Town Int Airport. We're perfectly located to take advantage of all that the Cape Winelands has to offer, including: Gordon's Bay (beach) 7 km. Somerset West 8km. Somerset Mall 10km. Stellenbosch 30km. Cape Town, Table Mountain and The Waterfront approx 52km. Franschhoek 58km. Hermanus 68km. 

Accommodation

Our Main Lodge has 5 luxury B&B rooms and we have two free standing self catering lodges.

B&B accommodation in the Main Lodge

The Main Lodge boasts four luxury en-suite B&B rooms and one suite, all of which have lovely sea views. Rooms come with a complementary breakfast and delicious home cooked dinners are served on request. Rated as a 4-star guesthouse by the TGCSA.

Self-catering lodges

We have 2 self-catering lodges with fully equipped open-plan kitchens, lounge with satellite TV & fireplace, 3 bedrooms, a braai/bbq area in your own private garden, and a large balcony with panoramic views. Rated 4-star by the TGCSA.

Lodge facilities

Outdoor pool. Dining room: dinner served on request. Spa treatments by our in-house therapist. Complimentary wifi in the Main Lodge. Guest lounge & library. Large grounds - we're a 17 ha farm on a 260 ha country estate. Over 20 km of walking/hiking trails on the estate. Large dam for swimming.

Surroundings

Perfectly located to explore the Cape area. We also have various golf crouses close-by (Erinvale, Strand, The Zalze). If you bring along your Mountain Bike there are numerous trails from our lodge (Schapenberg MTB trails). We can also hire MTB for you. Various vineyards close by; Waterkloof is 6 kilometers and has one of the best restaurants in the area; Vergelegen (one of the oldest vineyards) is close-by.

Conference & Function venue

Lalapanzi is a unique venue where delegates can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the unspoilt natural surroundings while being less than 40 mins from CPT International Airport.

Conference packages are tailor-made to meet your exact requirements. Our chef will prepare delicious home-made meals to meet all dietary requirements. There's a fully equipped conference room, a cosy living room for breakaway sessions, and a large dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Maximum of 15 delegates seated u-shaped or 20 cinema style.

Weddings

Lalapanzi is the perfect venue to host a small intimate wedding. We create personalised wedding packages for 8 - 25 guests. We make sure that you'll receive personal service, delicious food and wine and of course, stunning views.

The home of Skaap wines

Lalapanzi is home to Skaap Wines – our socially responsible wine brand that makes limited production wines that give back to the local community. The grapes are grown at Lalapanzi and crafted into elegant, expressive wines by award-winning wine maker Riaan Oosthuizen.
