Nestled in the heart of South Africa is an idyllic rest place - close enough for comfort and far enough for tranquility. We offer self-catering or bed & breakfast, with dinners and lunches, on request. Set in The Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, we boast exquisite bird-life and unusual rare indigenous plants.
Meerkatplaats has an onsite-bar and a fine array of wines in our wine cellar. There is a lounge area with DSTV and fire-place, braai facilities including our Cradle Braai Boma set in the bushveld and secure free parking. Bird watching.
Meerkatplaats will arrange tours to the many attractions that behold us - the beginning of humankind (The Cradle); Rhino & Lion park (where you can play with the cubs!); many adventures (4x4, hot-air-ballooning, hiking etc.) Your ideal starting point for your African Adventures!
