Nestled between towering mountains, met with magnificent vineyards at the slopes, you'll find the cosy yet romantic retreat of Plumwood Inn.

Offering all-year round enjoyment, in a setting that offers home away from home comforts, the atmosphere offers tranquil sophistication and timeless charm the very moment you're ushered through the main doors.

Priding ourselves on a steadfast reputation for warm hospitality and world-class service, attention to personalised service and detail here is key, unrivalled quality is apparent and ultimate luxury comes as a standard.

Offering a choice of three adjacent properties to rest and revive on, all set in unique, picturesque surroundings, every amenity desired is at hand in all ten rooms, leaving you wanting for nothing.

Upon entering the Main House, the charm is apparent throughout all three rooms and its immediate surroundings.

Further on through the property, the two Villas boast seven spacious rooms between them, all conveniently equipped with DSTV for leisurely down-time, your valuables are kept safe and out of sight while stashed in the mini-safe offered and an alarm clock to ensure you're up an awake in time for your daily happenings. Both summer and winter seasons are taken care of with personal air-conditioning and heaters in all rooms, comfortably welcoming you during any time of the year you choose to travel.

Rooms lead off through doors to full-on, romantically lit en-suite bathrooms, featuring double basins, a hair dryer and shaving plug, an over-sized shower with side-jets, separate bath with hand shower and toilet with bidet.

Standard rooms feature bathrooms with amenities such as shaving plug and hair dryer, single basin, oversized shower with Hansgrohe Rain Dance shower fittings and toilet with bidet.

Although smoking indoors is not permitted, verandas offer an escape from indoor dwelling and here is where smoking is welcomed and encouraged.

Mornings on the terrace, with full-on alfresco breakfasts of homemade preserves, breads and other delights, introduces you to a day of adventure filled exploring of the nearby village centre, literally a two minute stroll from the inn, set in a magnificent cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Upon return from your day's explorations, light sandwiches in the evenings are available on request and can be accompanied by drinks from the honesty bar.

About an hours' drive due south, you'll find yourself at the heart of Cape Town which offers you nothing short of the best wines from around the country, the most exquisite golf courses and beaches found for miles and all this at the epicentre - twenty minutes from both Paarl and Stellenbosch, Franschhoek is centrally located to offer you many options of adventure and exploration for your stay, making your holiday truly magical.

London has Kensington Palace Gardens. Paris has Avenue Montaigne. New York has 5th Avenue. Franschhoek has Cabriere Street

Hosts and owners, Roel and Lucienne warmly welcome you to experience the warmest hospitality found in the beautiful Cape winelands.
