Sacred Mountain Lodge took its name from the most hallowed symbol of Cape Town – Table Mountain. Sacred Mountain Lodge has an enviable position surrounded by the peaks of Table Mountain National Park on three sides and the ocean to the front. Approaching from Chapman’s Peak Drive, the views and sunsets across the waters from Hout Bay to Kommetjie are nothing short of spectacular!

The inspiration for naming our beautiful guest house ‘Sacred Mountain Lodge’ came from the book ‘Table Mountain to Cape Point’ by Carrie Hampton, where in her ‘Sacred Mountain’ chapter she says; “Table Mountain is known as the most potent symbol of Africa, representing freedom in every sense of the word, and has been likened to a fortress, a sleeping goddess, a stairway to heaven, a guardian of the city, a warrior and watcher of the south, considered sacred for the living forces at work behind nature.”

We invite you to come and feel the forces of nature here at the tip of Africa and enjoy our warm hospitality in the peaceful surroundings of Sacred Mountain Lodge.

Vine Cottage
Vine Cottage is our 2 bed roomed luxury cottage, set in a private and tranquil milieu of a green and whispering garden – hear the horses frolicking in the paddock over the fence. Inside the cottage is an open plan central living area, flanked by en-suite bedrooms on either side.

The finishes include sandstone, slate and oregan pine, with a beautiful, fully-equipped kitchen with stainless-steel appliances including gas hob & electric oven, and solid oregan counter top.

The main bedroom offers a private queen-sized bed with its own sitting area and DSTV, and the second twin bedroom is screened off from the open plan living area and luxury sleeper-couch lounge with DSTV.

Both bathrooms offer oversized glass and slate showers, and both bedrooms lead out to the garden with slate tiled patio, complete with Weber braai and teak outdoor furnishings. Idyllic.

Vine Cottage sleeps 4 guests comfortably and privately from each other, however the, luxurious sleeper couch offers a further 2 guests a comfortable night’s sleep. (Sleeps 4 – 6)

Clydesdale Luxury Suite
Spacious and luxurious are the first words that come to mind as you enter Clydesdale. This luxury suite is situated as part of the main house with a totally private entrance, the decor is one of wooden floors, chandeliers, suede curtains and a luxury full bathroom with large bath and glass shower; queen sized bedroom; open plan lounge with DSTV; little dining table to seat 4; a luxury double sleeper couch is available offering a further 2 guests a comfortable night’s sleep; and a separate fully equipped oregan and stainless kitchenette. Oak Tree Cottage
Oak Tree Cottage is a wonderfully unique cottage, situated beneath the 100 year old Oak trees overlooking a tranquil, forested garden.

A favourite accommodation for romantic couples, Oak Tree is decorated in oregan furniture from a bygone era, and offers a queen sized bedroom en-suite (oversized shower); a soothing lounge with DSTV and gorgeously cozy wood-burning fireplace, with separate fully equipped kitchenette.

The patio and private braai facility gives one the feeling of privacy and complete serenity. (Sleeps 2 – 4)

Acorn Cottage
Acorn Cottage is a delightfully warm and welcoming cottage, situated next to Oak Tree Cottage beneath the 100 year old Oaks, and overlooking a tranquil forested garden.

Acorn’s furnishings also present the period ambiance of a bygone era, with queen sized bedroom , en-suite shower, leading through to a separate lounge with luxury sleeper couch and DSTV. Newly fitted self-catering kitchen.

Sitting on Acorn’s patio in front of your Weber braai with a glass of wine in hand, leaves one with the sensation of pure, unspoilt memories! (Sleeps 2 – 4)

Squirrel Cottage
Situated separately from the other cottages and suites, at the front of the Lodge, offering complete privacy and tranquillity. Leading onto it’s own patio under the trees facing a little garden bed. Double bedroom with spacious en-suite, DSTV, microwave, bar fridge and tea & coffee making facilities.

Willow Suite
This fairytale private suite opens with French doors onto our beautiful, bougainvillea covered pool patio. This accommodation offers cottage style furnishings with queen bed of soft pure cotton linens, a gorgeously romantic wood burning fireplace, full DSTV, en-suite bathroom with large bath and shower, tea & coffee facility. A window cushioned reading nook completes the picture.

Rose Suite
Exclusive and private, wake up between pure cotton sheets to the silence of a beautifully lush garden, viewed through cottage pane French doors. The luxury of Rose includes 2 bedrooms, one Queen en-suite with enviable large flat screen full DSTV and a second TV in bedroom 2; Bar Fridge and tea & coffee facility. Lie in bed and Bask with a good book in the afternoon sun…Ideal for 2 Adults or with Children; or Friends to share.
