The Kraal Addo Country Estate

In 1844 Samuel Rowe build the Commando Kraal Hotel from mud and brick. The Rowe family farm in the area till today. Over time the hotel has changed owners and been extended, upgraded and improved.

Today the establishment is referred to as “The Kraal” and is owned by Colin and Diane Biggs.

We offer an affordable, country style bed and breakfast to local and overseas guests.

Different packages can be discussed with regards to luncheons and/or diners. We can book activities which range from guided game drives in the Addo Elephant Park to elephant back safaris. The adrenalin seekers can go on the Zip Line or play in the waves on a Jet Ski. The laid back bird watcher can go for a quite paddle down the Sunday’s River viewing a large variety of species.

We are very easy to find situated on the main road at the entrance to Addo. The Addo Elephant Park is a short drive, some 11km, from our position. Our spacious grounds and interesting mix of indigenous and exotic flora, offer a delightful appeal to nature lovers.

All the rooms are en-suite. We have Single Rooms, Twin Rooms and Double Rooms with King sized beds. Our family room accommodates a family of 4. Our three “Luxury Suites” each have an extra-large four poster bed. These rooms are spacious and offer the elite traveler extra comforts.

Our locally frequented pub and “Purple Tiger Lounge” give a relaxed atmosphere for all to enjoy.
