Welcome to Everglades Country Hotel. Located 35km from Howick, in the spectacular Kwazulu-Natal Midlands, the Everglades offers an idyllic country back drop set at the base of the Inhlosane Mountain, in the spectacular Dargle Valley.
Everglades Hotel was established as a Farm in this beautiful, historic Dargle Valley in 1938 and has grown into the 47 room Country Hotel it is today.
Our accommodation is well appointed country comfort enjoying a rural farm setting, framed by the indigenous forests and Mountain streams that surround the hotel's park like gardens.
Our 57 ha estate offers something for everyone whether it is a slow morning stroll or a more strenuous hike up the mountain. With more than 360 species of birds listed, this is a birders paradise. Included in our illustrious listing are the Cape Parrot and the Blue swallow.
We pride ourselves on offering true country comfort with 4 room offerings ranging from Budget Room, catered for a one night stay over, to our Executive Room, offering the best in country comfort for those looking for longer stays.
All rooms are equipped with on-suite bathrooms ( with either a bath or shower, and some units offering both), Coffee and Tea making facilities in all rooms, as well as local free to air television.

After your days outing return to Everglades for a pre-dinner drink in the wattle & Daub Pub before a hearty meal served either plated of buffet style depending on the number of guests. For those bracing winter evenings we recommend a post-dinner liquor whilst relaxing in the lounge or pub in front of the fire.
