Every Indaba or WTM I've attended, and on all my road trips, I've asked local tourism offices to help make sure our content for their town is up to date, with no response. So I was delighted when Saxon Lodge in Gansbaai complained about our out of date content for their town... and got their tourism office to do something about it. And thanks to Glenda Kitley, Gansbaai's tourism manager, for attending to it so quickly.
So if you town's content is out of date or missing, please ask your local tourism office to provide us with the information. And ask them to add events to CapeInfo's What's on section.
What makes this site special? The fact that it is the southernmost tip of the African continent or the most accessible place in the world to see where two oceans meet?
Whichever it is, it is a site that has been begging for a makeover for a long time, and the opportunity for an iconic site was first raised by CapeInfo in 2002. So, when we heard it had been completed, it was with high expectations that we to see what had been done. Read our story here.
