Celebrate the festive season with an incredible line-up of local musicians, a feast of tasty cuisine and treats and a huge selection of goods for sale at Bay Harbour Market.

Taking to the Bay Harbour Sound Stage on Friday December 14th is upbeat 7-piece ensemble the Swingsetters. This unique band blends swing, blues and rock & roll to produce a bubbly sound that will have feet tapping and heads bopping. Formed in 2009, the band is made up of seven highly trained and accomplished musicians who have all had success in local and UK based bands. Get your dancing shoes out for this one!

Continuing the festive vibes on Saturday, December 15th is self-taught muso Vince Connell. This 23-year old Capetonian is a master of a variety of genres including blues, folk, jazz and Latin. As a solo performer, he blends guitar and harmonica together with a rhythmic stomp box to produce an austere and unique sound inspired by the likes of Seasick Steve, Robert Johnson and Led Zeppelin. Be sure to check out this up-and-coming artist.

Ending the weekend off on Sunday, December 16th with some superb classical/flamenco guitar compositions is talented musician Alex Baker. Alex began his musical career at the young age of 12 and has spent many years moving through a variety of different styles and genres. His experience has culminated in a unique blend of classical, flamenco and rock technique combined with an expressive style that captures passion and emotion.

In addition to the fantastic live music, the Bay Harbour Market offers a range of Christmas goodies from a wide selection of over 90 traders, including turquoise and flamingo napkins from Handmade By Me, designer wall lights from Moonlights, a string of felt owls (and other awesome animals) from Itchy and Stitchy, and soft bamboo throws from The Natural Company. Take a break from browsing the stalls and grab an organic coffee from ZA Café or a mouth-watering sirloin ciabatta from MasterChef SA judge Peter Goffe-Wood’s Kitchen Cowboys. There is also cider from Everson’s and craft beer from Keg King, to name a few.
