...imagine blazing sunsets and crackling camp fires all woven into the magical atmosphere of Buyskop Lodge. We offer a choice of accommodation either in our exclusive self catering Guest Lodge, unique self catering Chalets or spacious Camping Sites. All of this and more situated in the malaria free paradise of the Waterberg mountains, only 4 km outside Bela Bela on a private game reserve within easy driving distance from Johannesburg and Pretoria... 

We offer three different types of accommodation: 

Guest Lodge 

Our Guest Lodge is an exclusive and ideal getaway for a group of friends or family get-together. Tucked away in the bush and situated within the Buyskop Game Reserve we offer top notch facilities. There is no need to forfeit creature comforts just because you are not at home. Lavish bedrooms, bathrooms and dining area ensure that you will leave Buyskop Lodge feeling invigorated and ready to face the new week in the concrete jungle. 

The accommodation sleeps up to 12 people in 5 rooms. The Guest Lodge is to be booked on a self-catering basis only. We offer unique separate kitchen/braai and lapa areas. Buyskop Lodge is the ideal relaxed environment to get away from the busy city life. This is the place to relax - if you want to party excessive and play loud music, book somewhere else. 

The Guest Lodge features a jacuzzi, splash pool, ceiling fans and thatched roofs. 

Accommodation consists of the following: 

A three bedroom chalet - one bedroom has a shower bathroom (en suite) and the two other bedrooms shares a separate shower, toilet and basin. Maximum number of two persons per room, one double bed per room. 
A two bedroom chalet - a full bathroom and shower, shared by the two bedrooms and sleeps three persons per room. A double bed and a single bed per bedroom. 
The Guest Lodge is further equipped with an outdoor dining room and kitchen, bar, lapa area, jacuzzi, flat screen TV at the bar/jacuzzi area, lounger chairs overlooking the dam (catch and release). There are also a kids' playground, splash pool and full bouquet DSTV. No need to bring drinking water, our borehole provides deliciously clear and wholesome water on tap!

The Guest Lodge offers the following:

Electricity - subject to Eskom efficiency 
Chalets & kitchen are serviced early in the mornings @ R100 per day, if required 
Please: Do not confuse the facilities at the Guest Lodge with those offered by Self Catering Chalets. The Chalets/Camping Sites and Guest Lodge is about 1km apart. 

Buyskop Lodge is also a working farm, be prepared for the sounds of chickens and geese together with the sounds of the bushveld! Our friendly dogs always wants to play! The managers reside on site and is always available to assist with your queries. 

Thatched Self-Catering Chalets 

Our self-catering chalets are perfect for those who don't want to pitch camp - the first 5 chalets are open for occupation! 
Each of our beautifully thatched chalets is creatively decorated keeping with the bushveld environment, featuring two elegant bedrooms and a separate wheelchair-friendly bathroom with shower, basin and toilet amenities. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other bedroom two single beds, which can be moved together if you wish. A comfortable lounge area is designed for your relaxation, with 2x sleeper couches. A fully equipped kitchen with all necessities for aspiring culinary experts, and of course, the trusted braai - bushveld comfort at its best! A four plate stove is there for your use and the microwave/grill oven takes care of your other needs. Electricity supply is from Eskom with ceiling fans in the bedrooms and lounge. 

No TV !! 

You need to bring your own towels (bath & swimming), braai wood/charcoal, ice and all personal items such as ironing equipment, hairdryers, 2 point plugs, cellphone chargers, torch, mosquito repellent, board/card games, etc. No need to bring drinking water, our borehole provides deliciously clear and wholesome water on tap! 

The chalets are situated around a dam where animals quench their thirst. Don't be surprised to receive welcome visits from giraffe, impala, kudu, bushbuck, zebra and various other species while you have your sundowner! 

Further facilities such as a new swimming pool and kids playground with swings and sandpit for your relaxation. 

We strive to continuously upgrade and extend facilities without detracting from the unique character of this beautiful corner of paradise in the malaria-free foothills of the Waterberg.

Caravan Stands/ Camping Sites 

Our camping sites provide everything the enthusiastic camper could ever want - book now to avoid disappointment! 
Ten spacious caravan stands/camping sites with awesome views make this a must for nature lovers. We offer braai facilities, running water and power points (2 x 10 Amp and 1 x 20 Amp). Groups between 2 to 25 people can be accommodated on one stand. Stands are well positioned and reasonably close to the ablution facilities. The brand new, clean and beautifully constructed wheelchair friendly, thatched ablution facilities include showers, toilets and basins. Also available, at no extra cost, is use of the family bathrooms with a bath, shower, toilet, basin as well as the baby change room. No need to bring drinking water, our borehole provides deliciously clear and wholesome water on tap! 

Small children must always be under the close supervision of their parents. The camping sites are close to a dam where wild animals quench their thirst. Don't be surprised to receive welcome visits from giraffe, impala, kudu, bushbuck, zebra and various other species while enjoying your sundowner!
