A rustic little nature OASIS on the edge of a nature reserve "GLEN" in camps bay right near the beach. 3 self self catering studios all with access to a large private pool and garden. Very unusual wild garden with a river and waterfall.

Stunning views and lots of private sspaces in the garden with hammocks, different barbeque areas etc.

All studios re independant, fully self catering and with WIFI and TV and toilet / shower and or baths.

Campsbayglen is a beautiful, rustic & hidden gem on the edge of a nature reserve "Glen". There are stunning views of the sea and big leafy trees & river Glen. A very unusual feature is a mountain stream with waterfalls running right through the garden coming from the Table Mountain. It’s clean & natural and brings in an amazing river feel with birds & wildlife. The garden is wild and broken up into different parts for maximum privacy for guests.

There is the pool area, river nook, day bed over the river, Hammock cabana, and lots of places all around to barbeque. SO -You are not on top of each other! Lots of hot sun spots and leafy shade areas make a great garden and big trees too! Shaded river areas and the sunny hot pool area with the hammock cabana give great mellow choice when you are not our at the beach or getting into the camps bay scene or cape town hiking shopping e.t.c We are really a STONE THROW from all the action.

All studios have access to this garden space which is wild and beautiful and nature inspired.

There is a UNIQUE peace and tranquillity even though you are a stone thrown away from the overflowing energy of the restaurants, beach scene and coffee bars of camps bay!

You can escape back to the house when it gets too much.

Enjoy views of the ocean and surrounding nature from the comfort of the wooden deck or cool off in the outdoor pool. The garden area features scenic views as well as its very own small waterfall and breakfast nook, making it the perfect setting for a special breakfast.

DETAIL: - Supermarket/ restaurants/ beach and coffee bars are all about 5-10 minute walk away.

We are about a 10 minute drive to city bowl and about a 15 minute drive to V&A Waterfront.

Table Mountain is within site up the hill…a 10 minute drive up to the cable car! You can see the cable car and Lions head from campsbayglen. Mark has tons of information on all the outdoor stuff, walks, and Mountain biking e.t.c

Studio A is the biggest for 4-8 people and studio B and C are for 2-4 people.

DESCRIPTION STUDIO A- THE MAIN HOUSE

This is the biggest studio and has 2 bedrooms/ 3 showers/ and a large lounge, kitchen and outdoor deck / terrace with stunning views over the glen to the sea. It’s ideal for families and groups of friends. It can be joined onto STUDIO C at the kitchen for bigger group. 2 queen size beds and option of another in the lounge and we can add 3 extra single beds. Or for max privacy and space we can join studio A to Studio C. A fire place is in the lounge for winter.

There is a large open plan living room and dining room that leads onto a massive outdoor terrace / deck with a choice of 2 dining areas – indoors and out. On warm nights most people spend the bulk of their time on the outside deck where there is also an outdoor shower and bath tub

Nature terrace /deck shower and tub

is the most popular - a rustic African outdoor bamboo enclosed shower and bathtub on the terrace. It’s a simple enclosed bamboo AFRICAN theme. It’s a favourite!!

BATHROOM 2  

Rustic style connects to the one bedroom with shower and toilet and large mirrors – mosaic and African cape town feeling.

BATHROOM 3

At your discretion you can declare this only for use to the one bedroom.

shower Toilet and large bath tub! There is a large shower and bathtub toilet in corridor that can be designated for bedroom 2 or simply shared. It’s large and has a great sized tub!

Kitchen: - Large open plan kitchen with all facility’s, - massive fridge & Freezer, stove, oven and opens onto the lounge.

Equipment:

FOR BIG GROUPS THIS KITCHEN CAN BE JOINED TO THE RIVER SIDE /STUDIO C so that you are all together.

Deck/ Terrace: - the deck is very large see pictures – approximate measurement 8x8 metres. It’s huge!

Lots of sun chairs and sitting chairs and large dining table – 8 people – but room for guests ,- good for about 12 People . Massive open space. With sunny areas and shady area with Zimbabwe creepers growing over part of the  top of deck!  Lots of space.  There is also a hammock. Hammock stand

Different points to put up more hammocks. There are extra points for more hammocks.

 It’s a favourite hangout place where you can literally chill all day and go down to the pool for a dip to keep awake otherwise you may snooze your holiday away on the deck in the hammocks!

1. 1.     Equipment: - Everything is supplied to make your stay comfortable! Including a house keeper and if you need house extra housekeeping on weekends then we can arrange too!

There is HOUSE CLEANING EVERY DAY – except weekends. We also have a safety 24 hour watch and security that you can call them for any problem emergency at any time… including medical! There is a Minisafe in each bedroom. A TV with DSTV is in the lounge.

 Hi speed WIFI to all areas in and out of the house, studio A has a fireplace for winter in the lounge.

 All linen towels cutlery etc. are supplied for use in the house and cooking facility’s and utensils. We have a few outdoor barbeque places – one is right adjacent your terrace / deck and there are 2 others to choose from – one at the pool and the other down at the river in the shade and has a table and umbrella – it’s wonderful to escape the hot days and is always a beautiful with the river and.  It’s VERY unusual for camps bay- actually anywhere – to have shaded private peace of mountain stream. The only items that we don’t supply are beach towels which are available at our local supermarket – there are 2 which are within a 5 minute drive away.

 Rates
I checked your rates in Euros,- they are more or less right but the rand has weakened again and is fluctuating a lot so here is the rand prices just in case. I am ALWAYS flexible and will give special rates easily especially for long stays!  Here is in Rands.

STUDIO B – CORAL TREE Garden Studio

This is one large room, - with an open-plan kitchenette and beautiful leafy shade patio with barbeque.

Actually a choice of 3 barbeques. One is your own and the other is at the pool and the other is at the river. It is completely separate from the other studios and is situated near the pool and river. The room has a very charming, natural feel with its own terrace / barbeque & breakfast area. (sea view)

House cleaning every day except weekends.  . It’s right near the river nook so if you like the sound of running water and leafy green wild feeling and to be near the pool too then go for this.

It’s a favourite for couples as it has a very outdoorsy, romantic feel, with the coral tree on the patio

We can make a single bed for an additional person but remember its one big room!

Studio B has a large shower and toilet space and an open plan room. Like a bachelor flat. Its large and airy and open spaced. It’s a big open plan room, -just one big room opening out onto a patio with leafy shade and a barbeque. It’s very near the pool and the river. You can easily use the river barbeque as well – where there is a large table and a little bridge going over the river. There is a waterfall there.

Studio B / or coral tree studio is a right around the corner from the river nook. It has a great nature feeling on the patio where you can have a barbeque and an outdoor eating table. You are right by the pool which is great for people who love water and an early morning swim. Yet there is a big wall of plants seprating you from the pool area for privacy.

You have a dining table inside the room as well – when the weather is right you will likely use the one out doors or go down to the River and eat there.

STUDIO C – RIVERSIDE STUDIO 

Studio C has its own wooden deck terrace and the bedroom with a queen size bed leads right onto it.

The wooden deck has a dining table and chairs and a hammock and sea view. Lots of big windows make it light and airy. There is a bit of a sea view off the deck (see pics) and it’s got a leafy green feel and views onto the river glen. If you like big trees and green and a nature rustic feel then you will like this. It’s at the river side of the house so is cooler in summer and very valuable for people who like the sun and heat but need to get away from it! There is nothing like mottled green shade – leafy mottled shade is very beautiful and cooling.  …It’s a special feel and people who like trees and leafy feeling shade know what I am saying here,- I am one of them and love that.

Lots of light and sliding doors can open the beds room for lots of air and river sounds.

There is a fully equipped kitchenette / lounge with a small toilet shower.

 The main thing about this little studio is that it has 2 rooms. The bedroom and the kitchenette dining room which can have 2 extra single beds put in. One easily and 2 at a bit of a squeeze but it’s often done.

Great if you need a separate space for the kids or a friend.

BUT if you spend a lot of time in the toilet and shower and are needy of a big shower space then this will be a problem for you. We made a small shower space for a bigger extra social living room - kitchenette/ eating dinner space.

There is a great feeling on the wooden deck with the outdoor dining table!

On good weather days you will certainly be spending your time outside on your private patio deck which is really nice.  Don’t forget you have all access to the pool and river area and the hammock cabana at the pool and all other facilities of the house- you chose. But for convenience you would use your own outdoor barbeque to cook as its right there outside the kitchenette. Save s the schlepp,- but you can also you can also use the one at the pool or at the river.

A big plus for studio C – The RIVERSIDE is that you get the sounds of the river which is great and that with the sounds of the sea works well to people who like the sounds of nature working together.
