Gauteng Tourism is bringing the ‘Gauteng Taste of Africa Dining Experience’ to the 10th TOPS at SPAR Soweto Wine & Lifestyle Festival (4-6 September),presented by Joburg Tourism, giving festival goers the chance to taste world-class cuisine available in Soweto and at the Maboneng Precinct.
Gauteng Tourism is bringing the ‘Gauteng Taste of Africa Dining Experience’ to the 10th TOPS at SPAR Soweto Wine & Lifestyle Festival (4-6 September) presented by Joburg Tourism, giving festival goers the chance to taste world-class cuisine available in Soweto and at the Maboneng Precinct.
Bringing their unique Afro-Asian creations to the festival this weekend is The Blackanese Sushi Bar. From biltong Sushi rolls to delectable crab sushi, Blackanaese showcases the fruits of the sea with their innovative fusion food.
Festival goers will also be able pair their favourite wines with the West African delights from The House of Baobab. The dishes celebrate the rich blend of French and African influences in Senegalese cuisine. From Ceebu Jen Fish, the national Senegalese dish, to the Jollof Vegetables, the mouthwatering creations are not to be missed!
For those who want to enjoy authentically South African comfort food, Roots Restaurant brings SA’s favourite Shisa nyama. Festival goers can also enjoy the very special Soweto Chow mein – a township dish with a twist.
When visitors need a break from wine tasting, they can sit back, relax and enjoy the original African coffees made from Fairtrade coffee beans at Kahawa Club, one of Maboneng Precinct’s premium coffee shops.
