This residence is deeply steeped in the history of South Africa and is over 200 years old.
In the 1770's it was one of the ten most conspicuous large manors of Cape Town. It was owned and occupied by the Commandant of the Castle, General Robert J. Gordon, who discovered and mapped a good part of South Africa. He discovered and also named our great river, the Orange (after the Prince of Orange), Plettenberg Bay (after Governor Von Plettenberg). Gordon's Bay was named after him.
At Flower Street Villa you are only a few minutes from the Cable Car, Waterfront, Camps Bay and Clifton beaches.
There is secure, free parking in our lock up courtyard.
There is a large fully equipped kitchen exclusively for guests' free use. Self catering is made easy by staff continually washing up at meal times to keep the kitchen clean. There is also a spacious dining room and lounge.
