Woodlands Escape is just that, a delightful space to escape the crowed busy city areas. The accommodation is positioned around a lovely spacious garden surrounded by mature trees, bordering a river. It is a very peaceful private space filled with birdlife. The garden invites you to stroll around, compose a poem or create a piece of art, or just relax, whatever your heart desires.
As guests you will freely be able to access the gardens and swimming pool at your leisure.
Our delightful neighbourhood awaits your exploration. We are positioned right on the river walk or a short walk to access various mountain hikes. The centre of Clarens is a lovely stroll away with spectacular scenery to photograph and enjoy, or you may take a 1 minute drive and park at the central square. Clarens Central Square is surrounded by restaurants, craft beer brewery, novelty shops and art galleries, all within easy walking distance. Walking and hiking is safe and we often walk to restaurants in the evening and other than a torch to enlighten the way for your steps on the gravel road, nothing else is needed and it is safe to do so.
There is no public transportation so one will need a vehicle to travel once out of Clarens, e.g. to visit Golden Gate National Park, however within Clarens everything is in walking distance. Parking is free everywhere.
