Three very striking young Jewish women tell stories of their lives, and those of their parents and their grandparents, and how they arrived in South Africa. Their roots can be traced back to Russia, Eastern Europe, North Africa, America, Israel and the Arab Peninsula. They sing glorious songs, both traditional and original, in a cappella style.
With Sharon Spiegel-Wagner, Naami Gottlieb Lieberman and Sivan Raphaely
Their stories reflect growing up in South Africa and are wildly funny and sharply poignant in turn.
Intricate and majestic song in three-part harmony fills the landscape of memories and dreams as they express their yearning for truth and identity. Tales of humour and vulnerability bring their history alive to honour, celebrate and explore their current existence.
The migration of their ancestors has contributed to their South African experience and through a journey of song and storytelling they represent where they came from and who they are today.
