Plett is going MAD in June and July!
Calling all music fundies, lovers of art, movie zealots, drama queens and gastronomists!

Plett MAD – the Music, Arts and Drama Festival, is best described by many as an unforgettable experience of all things music, arts and drama – all things MAD! They have announced their second event to take place between the 25th of June and the 18th of July 2015.

Plett MAD runs concurrently with the Knysna Oyster Festival and the National Arts Festival giving those festinos an opportunity to expand their experience along the Garden Route during the school holidays. The 2015 Plett MAD follows on the heels of the first successful festival in 2014, with a number of exceptional events including the Plett Fringe Theatre, the Plett Food Film Festival and Vernissage. The inspired talent of the Tshisa and Lunchbox Theatre groups take to the streets for Plett Street Theatre. All over town, venues are bustling with visual arts, installations, craft, street markets, food and music. The programme involves members of all communities, business, education and tourism sectors. 2015 will introduce a spectacular music event adding increased value to the festival.

“We are excited to announce an amazing line-up of acts in Plett, ensuring this year’s event will shed a bright spotlight on the many talented artists in our region,” says MAD Festival Director, Cindy Wilson-Trollip. “We plan to showcase international films partnered with a selection of exquisite foods prepared by some of Plett’s world-class chefs and award winning local wines during the Plett Food Film Festival. The Plett Food Film Festival is the only one of its kind – pairing internationally recognised films about food and wine with local delights and delicacies to be sipped and savoured.”
