One of the mimes at OR Tambo International Airport reminding travellers of the birthday offer.
Travellers to OR Tambo International Airport (ORT) were treated to a celebration of Airports Company’s 20th birthday on Tuesday, July 23rd. Some 60 silver-painted mimes performed throughout the airport, reminding travellers that all stores were offering a 20% discount on all items. (This was repeated at all ACSA’s nine airports around the country.) Performances by a marimba band added to the excitement. There were free tastings of wines, whiskies and other exotic drinks.
This was the start of two months of retail celebrations which promise flyers and visitors a Cloud 9 Experience.
