The 9th annual De Hoop Stanford Bird Fair is being held from the 3rd to 6th October 2013.
This annual event is being held a week later than usual this year, at the request of BirdLife SA. This is as a result of De Hoop STANFORD BIRD FAIR being the first event of the amazing SOS Save Our Seabirds Festival Week being held in Cape Town from the 7th to 12th October 2013. To be included in such august company, is a great honour for the Stanford Bird Club and we are delighted to be invited.

Every effort will be taken to make this years Bird Fair a really special one in order to fulfil the confidence shown in the Stanford Bird Club by BirdLife SA. The program, that is currently under planning, will be of the highest standard possible in order to ensure that the Fair will Stanford the avian gem that it is.
We are blessed with the sea, the river, the mountain, the fijnbos, the nearby coast line, three IBA’s and the recently spawned Stanford Wetland. We believe that your club is upto the challenges that this exceptional Bird Fair will present. The effort required will need the concerted focus, effort and energy of all Stanfordians in order to meet the challenges that the The Fair will present.
