Make your copy work for you!

The Introduction:
The introduction is your "brand promise" – why people should want your product or service.  It should be short – a few paragraphs at the most.  Only the first 200 characters are used in the search and category listings.

The Description:
This is a comprehensive description of your product and service and what differentiates it from other offerings.  What do you do best?

Rather give the reader more information than less.  Never just assume that "they know."  Write your copy for an imaginary reader, telling them what they need to know.

So many descriptions promise "a home away from home"... but is that what a traveller wants?  Don't most people travel to experience something different, something away from home?  Even business travellers will seek out something special – no disturbances, a good work space, a great night's sleep, a place to socialise for breaks?

Short paragraphs with subheadings make for easier reading, and draw the reader through your content.

And most important – run your copy through both Spellcheck and a Grammar-check before you start using it online!
