Stanford Classics is back this spring! Join us in Stanford this September for the return of five international musicians from the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra on Friday, 4 September.
They have performed around the world for numerous prestigious orchestras, as well as regular outdoor concerts in the Kruger National Park in aid of counter poaching. They are a favourite with guests at the now famous annual Wine, Whale and Music weekend at De Hoop. The five friends from the JPO are Malané Hofmeyr-Burger on flute, Peta Ann Holdcroft on cello, Marjan Vonk on viola and Irina Tsonif and Ivo Ivanov on violin. You will be treated to an evening of music for strings and flute by famous composers of beautiful classical and light popular music as well as some spectacular traditional pieces.
